Nick Brookes Recycling requires at least 24 hours’ notice for next day service. If the official instruction is received before 10am then next day service is achievable subject to Nick Brookes Recycling not encountering any logistical problems or problems out of its control (am or pm can be requested). However, we will always endeavour to meet individual requirements. If requested before 3pm we will attempt to meet next day delivery, however if the instruction is requested after 3pm then it is likely to be within 48 hours.
Nick Brookes Recycling advises that 24/48 hours’ notice is recommended for the Service of chain lift skips and the service of roll on roll off skips but we aim to provide same day delivery where possible.
Nick Brookes Recycling will endeavour to the best of its ability to meet any special requirements that our customer requires.
The hirer shall ensure that the skip is not overloaded by weight or by volume at the point of collection. Skips should be loaded so that it is filled no higher than the top of the sides (Fill Level); overloaded skips also risk violating the 1986 Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations on vehicle weight limits and safe transportation practices. The Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) requires employers, including skip hire companies, to ensure the health and safety of their employees and the public. Overloaded skips pose significant health and safety risks, potentially leading to legal action if an incident occurs
The 12-yard enclosed and 16-yard are only to be used for light waste or loaded no more than the maximum legal road limit (7 tonnes). 40-yard roll on roll off are only to be used for light waste or loaded no more than the maximum legal road limit (16 tonnes). Nick Brookes Recycling reserves the right to refuse to collect overloaded skips and any costs incurred due to unsafe loads/overloading (including wasted journeys) will be passed onto the hirer. Additional charges may be levied.
The customer will endeavour to ensure that there is free access into the site and that the access to the skip is clear to enable the skip delivery/exchange/collection to be carried out safely. Charges will apply if our driver and truck are held up after a service is requested.
