Frequently Asked Questions About Nick Brookes Group
Where are you based?
Our head office and licensed processing facility is at Wardle Industrial Estate, Green Lane, Wardle, Cheshire CW5 6DB – just off the A51 between Nantwich and Tarporley. The site houses our skip and grab fleet, our CDE wash plant for recycled aggregate production, and our weighbridge for commercial tipping.
Are you a licensed waste carrier?
Yes – we’re an upper-tier registered waste carrier with the Environment Agency, fully licensed to transport and dispose of controlled waste. All waste handled by Nick Brookes Group is tracked from collection to final disposal, with waste transfer notes and consignment notes available for your duty-of-care records.
What accreditations and memberships do you hold?
We’re members of the relevant waste industry and trade bodies, our drivers and operators hold appropriate licences (LGV, CPC, banksman, plant), and the team is trained in confined-space working, asbestos awareness and waste handling. Accreditation certificates and proof of insurance are available on request for commercial clients and tenders.
Are you a family business?
Yes – we’re a family-owned and operated business. That’s how we’ve kept consistent service and local accountability over nearly four decades. The phone is answered by people who know our drivers, our customers and our area – not a national call centre. It’s a meaningful difference when there’s a problem to solve at short notice.
What makes you different from other waste companies?
Three things: we operate our own processing facility and wash plant (so most waste is handled in-house rather than passed on), we publish clear pricing by postcode and council permit area rather than a single national number that doesn’t fit your job, and our team handles everything from a single mini skip on a driveway to multi-skip construction site contracts under the same operational standards.
Do you offer career opportunities?
Yes – we recruit drivers (LGV class 1 and 2), grab operators, weighbridge operators and yard staff regularly. Roles are typically advertised through Indeed and on our Facebook page, but speculative applications are welcome – send a CV and a covering note through our contact form and we’ll keep it on file.
How can I leave feedback or a review?
We welcome feedback from every customer – good or bad. You can leave a Google review through our business listing, message us through our Facebook page, or contact the office directly on 01829 260687. We respond to every concern raised – many of our biggest service improvements came from customer feedback.
