What is commercial tipping?
Commercial tipping is when a trade or contractor brings their own waste directly to our licensed Wardle facility for disposal – instead of hiring a skip or arranging collection. You drive in, weigh in, tip your load, weigh out, and pay for the net weight tipped. It’s often the most cost-effective option for trades doing multiple small jobs in a day.
What waste types do you accept at the tip?
We accept most general construction and trade waste at the Wardle facility, including soil, hardcore, mixed site waste, timber, plasterboard (separated), green waste and cardboard. Hazardous waste, asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, fridges, batteries and tyres are NOT accepted – these need separate disposal arrangements. Call ahead if you’re unsure about a specific waste stream.
Do I need an account to tip waste with you?
No – cash and card payments on the gate are accepted for one-off and occasional users. For regular trade customers, we recommend setting up an account for monthly billing, agreed rates and quicker turnaround at the weighbridge. Contact the office to set up an account before your first scheduled delivery.
How is commercial tipping priced?
Commercial tipping is priced per tonne, with the rate depending on the waste type. Cleaner, more recyclable loads (clean hardcore, soil, timber) cost less than mixed waste. We weigh in and weigh out, charge on the net weight tipped, and provide a weighbridge ticket. Contact the office for current rates and account tariffs.
What are your tip opening hours?
The Wardle facility is open Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 7am to 1.30pm. We’re closed on Sundays and bank holidays. The site fills up most quickly on Monday mornings and Saturday mornings – arrive earlier in the working day if you can, especially with a fully loaded lorry.
Where is your tipping facility?
Our licensed waste processing facility is at Wardle Industrial Estate, Green Lane, Wardle, Cheshire CW5 6DB – just off the A51 between Nantwich and Tarporley. There’s clear signage from the main road and a dedicated commercial weighbridge entrance.
What happens to the waste after I tip it?
Waste tipped at our facility is processed for recycling and recovery where possible – hardcore is washed and graded into recycled aggregate at our CDE wash plant, timber is sent for biomass recovery, and metals are separated for recycling. Residual waste is disposed of at licensed facilities. Around 90% of waste handled is diverted from landfill.
Do you provide waste transfer notes for compliance?
Yes – every commercial tip receives a weighbridge ticket and waste transfer note covering the load type, weight and disposal route. These are required documentation for your duty-of-care compliance under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, and useful for site audits and environmental reporting.
